Satori Mayell is a mixed-media artist from Ōtautahi heavily inspired by animals and their ecosystems. She is most well-known for her hyperrealistic felt bird sculptures, which feature native species made using a wide variety of felting techniques and other mixed media elements. Satori is very experienced with many ways to manipulate wool to achieve a range of effects, colours, textures, and details.
